Free Art

“Flower Frenzy”

Free art is picking up any utensil and just creating with out judgement. This was made with watercolor, no image was drawn before the color. I just let the brush and colors guide my hand.

“Blooming Beauty”

I did this right after I got a package from Art Snacks, all of the new markers in the package needed to be tested. After a little mindless art session, I had this little beauty.

“The Heart’s Heart”

It’s so easy to make art this way. To practice movements and shapes, to practice opening up the buried things in your subconscious. Some of my most cherished creations have begun with a blank page and a blank mind. When the plans never follow through the way you wanted them to, you’ll always have a few minutes of freedom in art’s heart.

Geometric Mandala

Mandalas are one of the most meditative art forms. Mandala is Sanskrit for “circle”, and it usually goes around in a patterned sense. They tend to send you in a hypnotic trance, to give your analytical brain a rest. I love doing pieces like this because they are repetitive, and you can be a perfectionist, or you can choose to be more loose with your lines. With this piece I folded my paper into a grid, and I used a ruler and compass to make my designs. I then painted it with watercolor paint.

Can’t Escape Two-Faced

“Semented in her belly, taking over her mind. Similar to parasite,”they” resite! A constant canvas as the world takes over her skin: So sin Hello and Welcome to my temple. Can “we” still be taken for example? So clarity, goodbye, you come crashing in and leave such a mess every time. So blind, llanding perfect between these lines. Even though “we” can’t even fly, whose? line. I’m guessing mine. When “we’ve” made things too awkward, you blush. “they” laugh. Some unfortunates have “their” cries on que. How could “we” of missed the news. When sirens never sleep, always calling me. Body’s trapped in souls to borrow “they’ve” got scarsto share truth or dares! When she finally leaves I bet she takes the stares! 6″

I made this piece in 2017, I painted it in water color for a more fluid effect. I have always loved drawing faces and eyes, especially feminine ones. I had intentions of it embodying scare tactics and of it resembling a personal point of view. I’ve heard we all have two wolves inside of us. One of light, the other dark, what we are depends on which one we feed. This picture demonstrates the even amount of healthy and tainted things that are out there in the world. We are all so unsure of who we are truly meant to be. There are so many blindsides, lost times, and there’s also many colorful moments that make living feel worthy. I usually try to remember that even though I am one person, I can still make a difference. By saying something I’m grateful for everyday, not throwing trash on the ground,  contributing to small businesses,  expressing my feelings through paintings like these, there are so many ways to show positivism through negative situations.
